Wow, what a year this has been! Whether you taught virtual, hybrid, remotely, in-person, or some combination, this year has challenged us in many ways and we have risen to the occasion. Having to reinvent the ways that we teach, constantly adjusting, extending grace, learning new technologies, persevering, and supporting our students and each other however needed are just a few of the many ways that teachers rocked this year!
This summer, I hope you have the opportunity to relax and recharge - you deserve it! I wish that we could all take the most amazing all-expense paid vacations, but since that is not possible, I created a virtual version - Create Your Own Summer Vacation! I hope that you have fun creating slides just for yourself, filled with ways that you like to relax. Then, find ways to incorporate some fun ways to relax at home this summer. Whether that is reading, napping, gardening, taking walks, exercising, cooking, baking, catching up with family and friends, traveling, or whatever brings you joy, I hope that you get to experience all of it this summer!
Throughout the summer, I will continue to create and share with you here on my blog. I certainly hope that I have been able to lighten your load a bit and provide fun for you and your students along the way. This has been a new journey for me over the past year, and I appreciate all of you and your encouragement! I may take some breaks during the summer, as I need to recharge as well, but I have many fun projects that I am working on and will be sharing this summer and throughout the coming year. I have a to-do list, but am always open to suggestions. Please join the Teachers Using Tech Facebook group to comment, ask questions, and share. Be sure to suggest us to your teacher friends as well.
